Meta's newsroom says the company is signing the EU AI Act Code of Practice on Transparency of AI-Generated Content. The European Commission describes the code as a voluntary framework that can help providers and deployers demonstrate compliance with AI Act Article 50 marking and labelling duties that apply from 2 August 2026. Signing the code is voluntary and does not, by itself, establish legal compliance.
